Welcome, everyone, to The Shadow Consortium of Ottawa. Our goal is for local magick practitioners, occultists, Pagans, etc., to exchange information, practices, and personal learning experiences regarding magick and other occult topics in a safe and welcoming environment, regardless of age, color, creed, or path. We're here to provide an alternative for people of various faiths and practices to meet with each other and strengthen Ottawa's magick community, which, until now, has not had a stable, unifying force.
Gradually, we will work towards becoming that force.
We are not your average watered-down, fluffy New Age group; we are a group of serious occultists, working towards expounding the mysteries of the occult sciences.
Please rest assured that none will be turned away unless intolerance is noticed, as intolerance and closed-mindedness defeat the purpose of meeting like-minded individuals to strengthen a community.
We are here to share knowledge and wisdom, not to dictate or enforce any one path as being "the right path" to follow. Ultimately, each and every one of us is responsible for not only the decisions we make, but also for finding our own unique and personal Truth. Some things you will take with you, while others you will discard. But in the end, the knowledge and wisdom shared is presented to everyone freely. Do with it what you will.
So leave personal differences at the door, come on down, and bear witness to our collective knowledge. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you.

- The ultimate purpose of this group is to share knowledge, which is provided to members in the form of lectures, discussions, and workshops. As such, we expect everyone who attends local meetings to behave in a manner conducive to learning. We cannot allow distractions from the subject matter.
- Those wishing to join the group must apply for admittance in order to ensure a genuine level of interest in our subject matter. If you have no desire to participate with the group either in person or on the message board, there is truly no purpose for you to join.
- Drama and infantile behaviour will not be tolerated in any manner. If you cannot act in a civilized fashion, you will be kindly asked to leave.
- Members who have been inactive on the site for a period of three months or more will be removed for their lack of participation.
- Any questions, comments, or concerns should be addressed to the Executive Council, which is made up of the President (Main Organizer), and Vice Presidents (the Assistant Organizers). It is our job to ensure the group functions smoothly.
- The Shadow Consortium does not currently enforce mandatory membership dues, but we do occasionally host events which cost money. As such, we have established a voluntary funds jar. Every member may contribute to the Treasury according to his or her means.
- The Executive Council reserves the right to amend this list at any point for any reason, and will inform the general membership upon such changes.
